During the closing gala of the 29th International Theatre Festival Kontakt, the jury’s verdict was announced and the awards were presented.
The jury of the 29th International Theatre Festival Kontakt, consisting of Ramunė Marcinkevičiūtė, theatrologist (Lithuania), Barbara Gregorová, dramaturge at the National Theatre in Brno and the Theatre World Brno Festival (Czech Republic) and Jurriaan Cooiman, artistic director of the Culturescapes Festival in Basel, curator, and cultural manager (Netherlands) awarded the following prizes:
Grand Prix funded by the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region – Piotr Całbecki (PLN 40,000)
“Ophelia’s Got Talent” directed by Florentina Holzinger, Volksbühne am Rosa-Luxemburg-Platz, Berlin
Award for the Most Interesting Personality of the Festival funded by the Mayor of the City of Toruń – Paweł Gulewski (PLN 25,000)
Ivan Uryvskyi for the production “Caligula” from the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater in Kyiv
Best Actress Award (PLN 5,000)
Karina Krzywicka for her role in “The Labour of Life” from the Wilam Horzyca Theatre in Toruń
Best Actor Award (PLN 5,000)
Maciej Stuhr for his role in “The Revenge” from Komedia Theatre in Warsaw
Award for Relevance and Artistic Power in Times of War (PLN 5,000)
Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater in Kyiv for the production “Caligula”
Best Ensemble Cast Award (PLN 5,000)
TR Warszawa for the production “When the Snow Melts”
Zdzisław Maklakiewicz Festival Award for Best Performance in a Supporting Role, funded by the SKE „Kultura” programme and awarded by the ZASP Dramatic Theatre Section (PLN 5,000)
Maciej Cymorek for his role in “Susan Sontag” from the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn
